A partnership between Kenya and Serbia is expected to enhance sports and the creative economy for the youth in both countries.
Speaking on Thursday, Sports Cabinet Secretary Salim Mvurya stated that Kenya and Serbia enjoy strong bilateral relations and emphasized Kenya’s commitment to deepening this partnership in sports and the creative economy to promote sporting activities.
Mvurya highlighted that the Ministry of Sports is exploring opportunities for youth training exchanges between Kenya and Serbia.
He further noted that Kenyan athletes and the national football team will have the opportunity to train in Serbia as a direct outcome of the collaboration.
“We are looking forward to creating an exchange program where our youth can train in Serbia while Serbian youth can train in Kenya’s high-altitude regions,” Mvurya said.
Meanwhile, Serbian Ambassador to Kenya, H.E. Danijela Cubrilo, expressed optimism about the partnership, emphasizing that it will strengthen sporting activities between the two nations.
She highlighted that the exchange programs will provide valuable opportunities for youth development in both Kenya and Serbia.
“Both Kenyan and Serbian youth are very talented, and we are looking forward to supporting their progression and helping these talents flourish,” she said.
