President Ruto names roads in coast, proves his critics wrong

President William Ruto has once again shown off his mastery of the road network in the country.

Addressing Mombasa residents during his week long development tour of the coast, the president who has faced a lot of criticism from netizens for his mastery of the road network in North Eastern, once again proved to his critics that he really knows the country’s infrastructure.

President Ruto announced the launch of Kwa Jomvu-Mariakani (A8) Dual Road in a way as if to tell off his critics.

He named all the stops along the stretch in rapid succession while the crowd cheered on.

“Tunafanya dual carriage way, itoke pale Miritini, ikuje Bonje, ikuje Mazeras, itoke Mazeras ikuje hiyo town iko hapo inaitwa uwanja wa ndege, itoke uwanja wa ndege ikuje mbele hapo Kokotoni, hapo Kokotoni ikifika hapo pia tusukume naskia kuna town kidogo hapo inaitwa kibanda hasara, hiyo kibanda hasara tunataka tubadilishe tuite kibanda faida alafu kutoka hapo kibanda hasara ifike hapa Mariaknai alafu tusukume mpaka pale weighbridge,” said Ruto.

Last week the President told off critics saying his familiarity with the roads in Northern Kenya is no different from his knowledge of roads in Central, Western, or other parts of the country.
President William Ruto disputed notion that he memorizes road names prior to his visits to places to impress the electorate.

The head of state said his knowledge of the country’s infrastructure is integral to his leadership and responsibility.

“This is my job; this is the job I applied for. To think about the country, to know what to do, where, and to make sure that no part of Kenya is left behind,” said Ruto.
