Kayole Starlets forward Calta Nasambu has joined Turkish women’s football club Haymana Spor Kulübü for the remainder of the 2026/27 season.
The 21-year-old left Kenya for Turkey on Monday, October 20, 2026, with her contract running until May 2027 and an option for an extension.
Nasambu previously played for Barcelona Ladies SC in Laikipia before joining Kayole Starlets in February 2026. She helped the Nairobi-based side finish sixth in the Kenyan Women’s Premier League last season.
At Haymana Spor Kulübü, Nasambu will reunite with former Kayole Starlets teammates Lavin Achola and Euphrasier Shilwatso, who joined the Turkish club in August.
Nasambu’s move to Turkey follows her emergence through the Safaricom Chapa Dimba tournament.
She was the top scorer during the fourth edition of the competition after helping Barcelona Ladies SC qualify for the national finals in Kisumu.
Her performances earned her a place in the Chapa Dimba All-Stars team that travelled to Huesca, Spain, in 2025 for a training camp.
While in Spain, Nasambu also trained with Huesca’s women’s first team after impressing during friendly matches.
“This is a dream come true. It has always been my prayer to play outside the country, and today, I am heading to Turkey,” Nasambu said.
She added that her experience through Chapa Dimba had opened the door to international opportunities.
Kayole Starlets Team Manager Faith Odit described Nasambu as one of the club’s most talented players and backed her to have a bright future.
“The way she controls and possesses the ball clearly shows that she has a bright future ahead of her,” Odit said.
Nasambu was born and raised in Sikhendu, Kitale, Trans Nzoia County, and began developing her football career at Barcelona Ladies SC under coach Emman Wafula Gullit before moving to Kayole Starlets.
Her move to Turkey adds to the growing number of Kenyan women footballers securing opportunities abroad after progressing through the domestic game and youth talent development programmes.
