Former Manchester United Manager Eric ten Hag has been confirmed as new Bayer Leverkusen coach on a two-year contract.
The Dutch tactician replaces Xabi Alonso who joined Real Madrid after two successful seasons with the German Club.
Speaking after his appointment, ten Hag revealed that he liked the project that was represented by the Bundesliga side.
“I have come to Leverkusen to confirm the ambitions that have grown over the past few years. It is an appealing task to build something together in this phase of change and to develop an ambitious team,” said ten Hag.
Ten Hag is now back at the touchline since October 2024 when he was sucked by Manchester United.
