Manchester United squad boosted by return of de Ligt and Diallo

Manchester United have received a boost with the return of defender Matthijs de Ligt and winger Amad Diallo to team training ahead of schedule.

The Red Devils have endured a poor run of results, currently sitting 14th in the league after losing several key players to injury.

Since Amorim’s appointment, he has struggled to establish himself due to the squad’s inconsistencies and the lack of a stable starting lineup, with United losing several important matches.

As the season nears its end, he may finally catch a break with the return of injured players who played crucial roles when he took over from his predecessor. Among those returning are in-form youngster Amad Diallo and Matthijs de Ligt, who took part in training ahead of their upcoming Europa League clash with Athletic Bilbao.

Other Manchester United players still sidelined include striker Joshua Zirkzee, who has been ruled out for the remainder of the season with a hamstring injury. Lisandro Martínez and Diogo Dalot also remain out, with no confirmed return dates.
