Political analysts in Sokoke Ward, Ganze Sub-County, Kilifi County, have praised President William Ruto’s recent visit to the region, emphasizing the need for improved road infrastructure.
Led by Sokoke-based analyst George Fondo, the leaders are now urging the president to prioritize the initiation and completion of key road projects in the area.
“We appreciate the president for visiting various parts of Kilifi County. His presence provided an opportunity for our leaders, especially our area MP, to highlight the challenges facing residents,” Fondo said.
He specifically underscored the importance of the Bamba-Ganze road project, describing it as a vital infrastructure development not only for Ganze Sub-County but for Kilifi County as a whole.
“One of the most crucial roads affecting the daily lives of Ganze residents is the Bamba-Ganze road,” he reiterated, emphasizing that road infrastructure plays a critical role in the region’s economic growth and connectivity.
Another political figure, speaking on condition of anonymity, expressed optimism about the president’s visit.
“This visit is timely. We have waited for decades without any significant development,” the source stated.
President Ruto is currently on a week-long tour of the coastal region, visiting counties such as Mombasa, Kwale, Kilifi, and Lamu.
On Wednesday, he commissioned the Sabaki powerline, further signaling his administration’s commitment to development projects in the region.
