Trump’s diplomat to skip G20 meeting in South Africa

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio has ruled out attending the G20 meeting in Johannesburg, South Africa.

Rubio in a statement posted on his X account, accused the South African government of expropriating the land of white south Africans.

He further accused the South African government of doing bad things which he didn’t clarify or issue further insights.

“I will NOT attend the G20 summit in Johannesburg. South Africa is doing very bad things. Expropriating private property. Using G20 to promote “solidarity, equality, & sustainability.” In other words: DEI and climate change”, he said.

He reiterated that he will put America’s national interest first.

“My job is to advance America’s national interests, not waste taxpayer money or coddle anti-Americanism”, he added.

US President Donald Trump has said he will cut all future funding to South Africa over allegations that it was confiscating land and “treating certain classes of people very badly”.
