A suspected poacher has been arrested with 22.5 kgs of Dik Dik carcass in Kwale County.
Two accomplices escaped from Shimba Hills forest.
According to KWS senior warden Titus Mitau, the suspect was armed with knives, torches and clubs.
Mitatu added that a serious man hunt is on-going to apprehend the remaining suspects.
“This is a warning to illegal poachers. We are coming for you”, he warned
He also cautioned the local community against giving shelter to illegal poachers.
“If you see something unusual report it. Our country relies on tourism, hence we must protect our wildlife,” he said.
The suspect was expected to be arraigned on Friday.
