Omar Boga has won the ODM ticket for Msambweni MP by-election slated for December 15.
The former Bongwe-Gombato MCA Boga garnered 6,183 votes against Nicholas Zani who got 530 votes from Thursday’s nomination polls.
The Msambweni parliamentary seat fell vacant following the area MP Suleiman Dori in March.
Boga will now battle it out with independent candidate Feisal Abdallah Bader who has the backing of Deputy President William Ruto.
Jubilee Party will not field a candidate in the contest.
