Mombasa,KENYA: The election of Lamu Governor Fahim Twaha has been upheld.
The Court of Appeal sitting in Mombasa dismissed an appeal by former Governor Issa Timamy.
Timamy had claimed the election of Twaha was riddled with electoral malpractises,bias and marked ballot papers.
However, the three judges dismissed Timamy’s appeal stating that the poll was conducted in compliance with the law.
