Ministry of Labour to conduct recruitment exercise at Mama Ngina drive for Dubai jobs

The Ministry of Labour will be carrying out a recruitment drive at Mama Ngina Drive in Mombasa on Wednesday, May 28, 2025, to fill over 2,000 job vacancies in Dubai.

The exercise targets young people seeking employment opportunities abroad, with available positions in construction, landscaping, and delivery services.

Job seekers will have the chance to apply for the following roles:
– Motorcycle Riders (Boda Boda)
– Helpers for construction and general work
– Gardeners (Landscaping)

Successful candidates will earn tax-free salaries, with benefits including free accommodation, medical insurance, and meals for most roles. Salaries range from:
– Ksh 80,000 – 120,000 for motorcycle riders
– Ksh 31,000 – 45,000 for gardeners
– Ksh 35,000 for construction helpers

Who Can Apply?
– Motorcycle riders must have a valid motorcycle or regular driving license. NTSA officers will be on-site to assist with license approval.
– Gardeners and helpers only need a valid passport or proof of application—no academic certificates are required.
– All applicants must dress smartly and professionally. Closed shoes are mandatory; those dressed poorly or in sandals will not be considered.

On-Site Government Support:
To support applicants, several key government agencies will be present, including:
– Youth Fund Officials – offering funding for air tickets, medicals, and service fees.
– NTSA Officials – to issue or validate driving licenses.
– DCI Officers – to process Certificates of Good Conduct.
– Ministry of Labour Officers – overseeing the recruitment and ensuring transparency.

The event is first-come, first-served, and youth are encouraged to arrive early and fully prepared.

The initiative, led by Labour Cabinet Secretary Dr. Alfred Mutua, aims to empower Kenyans through access to global job markets.
