Rabai Member of Parliament Anthony Kenga Mupe has announced that the government has disbursed Ksh167 million to enhance technical and vocational training institutions in the constituency.
Speaking at a public event, Mupe said the funds will go towards strengthening and upgrading local training institutions to equip youth with practical skills.
“I approached President William Ruto and presented my plea; fortunately, he heeded my call,” said the MP.
He added that part of the allocation will be used to complete the ongoing construction of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) centres across Rabai constituency.
Mupe also addressed the persistent drought in the area, noting that residents have endured four consecutive years without rainfall.
“We have not had rain for four years now. My constituents want to return to farming, but they don’t even have food,” he said.
Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi, who also attended the event, urged leaders and residents to shun divisive politics and foster national unity.
“Let’s embrace one another. Kenya belongs to all of us, regardless of our backgrounds,” said Sudi.
He emphasized that the Constitution mandates equal treatment and opportunity for all citizens, and called for unity in the pursuit of development.
