The County Government of Taita Taveta is calling for a multi-sectoral approach to enhance agricultural production in the region.
Governor Andrew Mwadime said the initiative aims to expand agriculture-based opportunities for local residents.
“We also reaffirm our call for stronger, cross-cutting sectoral collaboration to boost productivity and deliver lasting, meaningful impact—aligned with my socio-economic empowerment pillar,” said Mwadime.
He reiterated the county government’s commitment to advancing agricultural development in the region.
“This achievement is a testament to our unwavering commitment to addressing food and nutrition insecurity across Taita Taveta,” the governor noted.
Mwadime added that the county will continue to support community-led initiatives by promoting sustainable agricultural practices.
“We are proud to be recognized as the most improved county and first runner-up nationwide in the implementation of the National Agricultural Value Chain Development Project (NAVCDP),” he said.
