A suspect accused of distributing child pornographic materials has been arraigned.
According to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations, Noel Naliaka Ndinyo, a key suspect long sought by authorities for her alleged role in distributing child pornographic materials, was arraigned on Wednesday.
“Her arrest came after the National Centre for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) flagged a Snapchat account tied to Naliaka’s email address as a hub for sharing illegal content,” wrote the DCI on their social media platforms.
“Acting on this lead, detectives from the Anti-Human Trafficking and Child Protection Unit in Mombasa launched a meticulous operation, ultimately apprehending Naliaka at her hideout in Nyali Sub-County,” added the DCI.
Appearing before the Shanzu Law Court, Naliaka was charged with multiple offences, including Online Child Exploitation Contrary to Section 22(3)(c) of the Children’s Act No. 29 of 2022. She pleaded not guilty to all charges.
Investigators strongly opposed her release on bond, and the court has scheduled a ruling on bond terms for May 9, 2025.
