Tottenham eye Xavi Hernandez to replace Ange Postecoglou

Xavi Hernandez has emerged as a potential replacement for Ange Postecoglou should the Tottenham Hotspur manager depart at the end of the season.

The former Barcelona head coach has been out of management since parting ways with the Spanish giants last year. At the helm, Xavi guided Barça to a La Liga and Spanish Cup double in the 2022/2023 season.

Postecoglou, meanwhile, is reportedly nearing the exit at Spurs following a disappointing Premier League campaign. Tottenham sits 16th in the table with just 37 points from 34 matches.

Despite domestic struggles, the former Celtic boss has led Spurs to the semi-finals of the Europa League. If they progress to the final, they could end the club’s 17-year trophy drought. Tottenham hold a 3-1 advantage over Bodo/Glimt after the first leg of their semi-final clash.

In addition to Xavi, Bournemouth manager Andoni Iraola and Fulham’s Marco Silva are also believed to be on Tottenham’s shortlist as the club considers its options for the next season.
