Liverpool fans await Arsenal result in title race

Liverpool fans are on the edge of their seats as tonight’s clash between Arsenal and their London rivals, Crystal Palace, could determine the Premier League title race.

For the Reds to be crowned champions tonight, Arsenal must lose. A win or draw for the Gunners would delay Liverpool’s potential title celebrations, requiring them to secure a victory in their next match against an out-of-form Tottenham Hotspur side this Sunday.

Speaking at a press conference, Liverpool head coach acknowledged Arsenal’s quality, saying, “I’m looking forward to the week, because I assume that Arsenal, because they are such a good team, can win during the week. We probably have to do it ourselves, and the first chance we have is against Tottenham.”

He added, “Any moment that it happens, that would be special for the fans.”

Meanwhile, Liverpool captain Virgil van Dijk has confirmed that they will watch the Arsenal game against Crystal Palace alongside his teammates on Wednesday.

The Holland international added that he expects Arsenal to win the game, but if it goes the other way round, then they will celebrate together as a team.

“I would love to lift the cup for this club that I love so much, if it doesn’t happen on Wednesday, then we have an opportunity on Sunday to do it in front of our fans, in front of a red Anfield and it will be special, that’s for sure,” said van Dijk.

Liverpool’s 20th title hope depends on a win for Crystal Palace against the Gunners or by smashing Tottenham on Sunday.

The Reds are leading the PL table with 79 points, thirteen points ahead of second-place Arsenal.
