Enhance transparency and accountability – Kilifi SACCOs urged

Kilifi County Deputy Director of Cooperatives Mary Mukare has urged SACCOS in the region to maintain good governance and ensure transparency in their processes.

Mukare also urged the SACCO’s to invest in innovative products and services that meet the changing needs of its members.

Mukare was speaking in Kilifi county during the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Kutafiti regulated SACCO.

The SACCO was presenting its audited financial results for the year ending December 31 2024.

The SACCO reported a financial year with a deposit base of sh.153 million and a loan portfolio of sh.137 million depicting a consistent growth and financial health.

Mukare praised the SACCO for its sound financial management and strict compliance with regulatory standards.

“This is not only among the leading SACCOs in Kilifi County but also in the surrounding region, operating under the oversight of the SACCO Societies Regulatory Authority (SASRA),” she said.
