Phase two of the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party grassroots elections are set to be held in 22 counties this weekend.
The UDA party has said all is set for the exercise set for this Friday and Saturday.
This follows a high-level meeting chaired by the party chairperson Cecily Mbarire.
The National Elections Board chairman Anthony Mwaura has said logistical arrangements for the polls have been finalized.
“We have finalized all the arrangements for the elections. The personnel are ready while poll materials are assembled and ready for dispatch,” said Mwaura.
Meanwhile, the party’s Disciplinary Committee led by Charles Njenga has warned of stern action against participants and supporters who will violate the party constitution and code of conduct during the polls.
On Friday, party members from Taita Taveta, Kitui, Makueni, Machakos, Kajiado, Kisii and Nyamira counties will have an opportunity to vote.
Members from Tana River, Kwale, Mombasa, Kilifi, Lamu, Garissa, Tana River, Bungoma, Turkana, Migori, Kisumu, Siaya, Isiolo, Marsabit, Wajir, Mandera and Lamu will hold their elections on April 12th .
