Kilifi County seeks to secure sh390m funding from second Devolution Support Program

The Kilifi County Project Implementation Unit (CPIU) for the Second Kenya Devolution Support Program (KDSP II) is participating in an Implementation Workshop for the Annual Performance Assessment (APA).

According to the CPIU, the workshop serves as a crucial platform for evaluating the progress and effectiveness of the unit in managing the program at the county level.

Facilitated by the KDSP II National Programme Coordinating Office, the workshop assesses the county’s compliance with the eligibility criteria for Level II funding under the program.

Like other participating counties, Kilifi County is aiming to secure funding of up to KES 390 million, contingent on meeting specific performance benchmarks.

The CPIU noted that the workshop provides an opportunity for a comprehensive review of the county’s progress—celebrating achievements, addressing challenges, and exploring practical strategies to enhance implementation.

Key attendees at the workshop included Dr. Samuel Nyaga, the KDSP II National Coordinator, staff from the KDSP II National Programme Coordinating Office, and members of the Kilifi County CPIU.
