Police in Kisauni Mombasa county have arrested 51 suspects linked to the infamous panga Boys gang.
The multi-agency operation was conducted in Corner ya Kisauni, Jocham Hospital, Barisheba, Sunlight, Mwandoni, Junda, Cobra, and Kadongo Grounds neighborhoods.
According to a statement by the Directorate of Criminal Investigations DCI, five tuk-tuks, believed to be used in phone snatching, were seized during the operation.
The suspects are being held at Mjambere police station and are awaiting arraignment.
Last week, at least 120 suspects of the notorious gangs known as ‘panga boys’ were arrested following a week-long operation in Kwale County.
