Timamy confident of UDA victory in Magarini by-election

United Democratic Party (UDP) Deputy Party Leader and Lamu Governor Issa Timamy has assured Kenyans of a United Democratic Alliance (UDA) win in the upcoming Magarini by-election.

Speaking in Mombasa on Sunday during an Iftar dinner organized by UDA Secretary-General Hassan Omar Sarai, Timamy emphasized that the party is gearing up for a competitive race against rival parties.

“The UDA party must clinch the Magarini parliamentary seat. We cannot afford to miss this opportunity. We are firm on this,” he stated.

Despite President William Ruto’s broad-based government, Timamy acknowledged that UDA still faces stiff competition from other political parties in the region. However, he expressed confidence in the party’s growing influence, citing the benefits the Ruto administration has brought to the area.

“We have so much to thank William Ruto for. We are great beneficiaries of his leadership,” he added.

The event was attended by leaders from the Coast region and beyond, reflecting UDA’s commitment to strengthening its presence ahead of the crucial by-election.
