Deputy Government Spokesman Mwanaisha Chidzuga has urged school heads to comply with the government directive and immediately release all students’ certificates.
Chidzuga emphasized that withholding these certificates prevents students from enrolling in colleges of their choice and seizing job opportunities, particularly in the Coast region.
“I want all school principals to release the certificates. Let them implement the President’s directive,” she stated.
Additionally, Chidzuga encouraged women in the Coast region to prioritize their daughters’ education, emphasizing the bright future that lies ahead for them.
“Give the girl child a chance. I’m particularly addressing the Muslim community—allow your daughters the opportunity to learn and grow,” she urged.
Meanwhile, Chidzuga also called on security agencies in the region to intensify efforts in maintaining law and order, noting that tourism, the backbone of the local economy, is at risk due to rising insecurity.
“We have repeatedly heard of security issues in this region. Those responsible are known, and action must be taken,” she stressed.
