Kilifi County Chief of Staff Caroline Cheupe has called on the elected leaders to empower women in the county.
Caroline said empowering women was empowering a generation.
“I want to ask our leaders to empower women. They play a significant role in the nation building,” she noted.
She further called on the residents to work closely with all the elected leaders for the common good.
The Kilifi County staff boss noted that the move will ensure that development is realized in the region.
“I ask all the residents to work together with the leaders. This will ensure that development is achieved,” she noted.
Cheupe was addressing the public in Rabai sub county in Kilifi County over the weekend.
She also urged Kilifi County residents to avoid being divided along ethnic and party lines.
“I urge our women to work with the leaders. This is crucial for our progress,” she noted.
