President Ruto urges Kenyan Muslims to promote love and unity during Ramadan

As Kenyan Muslims begin fasting for the holy month of Ramadan, President William Samoei Ruto has called on them to spread love and unity.

While addressing the public, President Ruto emphasized that Ramadan is not just about fasting but also about fostering togetherness through prayers and sharing.

“Ramadan is a month of Ibadat, sharing, and closing the gaps of enmity,” Ruto stated.

He encouraged Muslims to practice generosity, particularly by assisting those in need within their communities. Additionally, he urged them to pray for the nation, emphasizing that through collective prayers, the country can overcome its challenges.

President Ruto also highlighted the importance of Muslims contributing to national peace and stability, reinforcing that this period offers a unique opportunity to enhance solidarity and promote progress.

“This is a unique period to enhance solidarity and foster peace and progress in the nation,” he noted.

Finally, the President extended his best wishes to all Muslims as they prepare to observe this sacred period, encouraging them to use the time to strengthen and nourish their faith.
