United Democratic Alliance (UDA) leaders in Kilifi County have lauded President William Ruto’s visit to the Coast region, stating that it will unlock numerous business opportunities and create jobs for the youth.

According to the leaders, the President’s engagements in the region will help address unemployment and boost the local economy.

“Many opportunities will open up, and the issue of youth unemployment will be addressed effectively,” said Kilifi County UDA Chairman aspirant Mohamed Kadar Ibrahim.

He further noted that key government projects launched by the President are specifically designed to benefit Coast residents.

“These projects are tailored for our people, and they will significantly uplift the region’s economy,” Kadar added.

He emphasized that, in the long run, these initiatives will create sustainable employment opportunities.

Kadar also dismissed critics of the government’s development agenda, asserting that they lack a clear vision for progress.

“I want to tell the critics that they have failed. They have no agenda. We are in government, and we are in control,” he said.

Addressing the mega power projects launched in the area, Kadar expressed confidence that they will spur economic growth and improve livelihoods.

“These projects will not only boost business activities but also strengthen the fishing industry,” he said.

He highlighted the Dongo Kundu Special Economic Zone (SEZ), terming it a game-changer for the region.

“The Dongo Kundu SEZ is a transformative project that will open up countless opportunities for the people of this region,” Kadar noted.
