Harambee starlets take on Tunisia for the 2026 Women Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) qualifiers on Friday 21st February 2025 at Ulinzi Complex stadium.
Starlets have been tirelessly on their toes for the past few days in preparation for their much-awaited game day as they chase a return to continental glory since last featuring in 2016 when they debuted.
Earlier this month coach Beldin Odemba named her 36-player provisional squad, bringing in at least 11 new faces to strengthen her squad for the qualifier series.
The team seemed to be on the right track after an impressive friendly match against heavyweight teams as Odemba geared the ladies up for a bright start against Tunisia.
Their second meeting is staged to be played on Wednesday 26th February.
The last time the North African giants faced Kenya was in 2009 when they were placed in Group B for the qualifiers. Starlets ended up losing on an aggregate of 2 goals at that time Kenya was ranked 4th while Tunisia ranked 2nd on FIFA.
