Marcus Rashford has left his boyhood club Manchester United and joined Aston Villa on loan until the end of the season.
Rashford who was looking for a way out of the club had several offers outside England but he has decided to join Unai Emery’s side Aston Villa.
This could be a new hope for the England forward, who has struggled for playtime at Old Trafford after his manager, Ruben Amorim, accused him of being lazy in training.
Villa will cover at least 75 percent of Rashford’s salary, it is understood that this could rise to 90 percent depending on his performance during his loan spell.
During his first interview with Aston Villa website, Rashford said: “I just want to play football and am excited to get started. I wish everyone at Manchester United all the best for the rest of the season.”
There have been reports that Amorim and Rashford were no longer on speaking terms after brutal comments from the Portuguese tactician claiming that he would rather have a 63-year-old goalkeeping coach in his squad than Rashford.
In his new home at Villa Park, the 27-year-old is hoping for game time, playing alongside Ollie Watkins following the departure of Jhon Duran who joined Saudi Pro League side Al Nassr.
