Brazil has won the bid to host the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2027.
Brazil was announced as the host nation of the 10th FIFA Women’s World Cup 2027 at the 74th FIFA Congress in Bangkok, Thailand.
Brazil received 119 votes following an open vote process to determine the 2027 Women’s World Cup hosts.
A joint bid of Belgium, Netherlands, and Germany to host the tournament received 78 votes.
The 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup jointly hosted by Australia and New Zealand saw 32 teams participate in the tournament with three African teams managing to qualify for the round of 16.
Spain are the current champions having won the 2023 tournament.
Meanwhile, the US has the most FIFA Women’s World Cup titles with four followed by Germany with two. Spain, Japan, and Norway have won a title each.
